AEM & Adobe

Adobe Edge Delivery Services

We implement Adobe Edge Delivery Services so your AEM content loads very fast and stays fast after launch. That includes choosing the authoring model your editors will like, building blocks, migrating content from AEM Sites or other platforms, and setting up the performance and quality checks that keep Lighthouse scores high long after day one.

Who it's for

Edge Delivery Services can produce very fast sites, but only if the blocks, scripts and content model are built for it. Projects that bring old habits along, such as heavy JavaScript, unoptimised images and marketing tags loaded early, lose the performance advantage within weeks.

  • AEM customers evaluating Edge Delivery Services for a new site or a relaunch.
  • Teams migrating from AEM Sites or another CMS who want to keep editors productive.
  • Marketing teams whose current site is slow and hard to change.

What you get

  • An authoring model recommendation, document-based authoring or Universal Editor, with the trade-offs explained.
  • Custom blocks designed with your editors, plus a block library they can reuse.
  • Content migration with redirects and SEO checks.
  • Performance budgets and automated checks in the delivery pipeline.
  • Analytics, consent and marketing tags integrated without losing speed.

What does an Edge Delivery Services project involve?

  1. Assessment. Which sites or sections suit Edge Delivery Services, and which authoring model fits your editors.
  2. Blocks and design. A small, reusable block library built with your design system and your editors.
  3. Migration. Content moved in batches with redirects, metadata and link checks for every page.
  4. Launch and guardrails. Performance budgets, automated checks and a handover to your team.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a project like this cost?

It depends on scope, so we do not publish fixed prices. After a short scoping call you get a written proposal: a fixed price for well-defined work, a phased quote when parts are still unclear, or time and materials for ongoing work. The start date is agreed in the proposal.

Is Edge Delivery Services a replacement for AEM Sites?

It is a different way to deliver pages with AEM content. For many marketing sites it can replace traditional AEM Sites delivery; for complex, application-like experiences a hybrid setup often works better. We help you decide per site.

Can our editors keep working in familiar tools?

Yes. Edge Delivery Services supports document-based authoring in tools like Word or Google Docs, and the Universal Editor for teams that prefer a visual editor.

How do you keep the site fast after launch?

We add performance budgets and automated Lighthouse checks to the pipeline, so a change that slows the site down is flagged before it is released.

Do you migrate existing content?

Yes. We plan the migration, automate what can be automated, and set up redirects so existing URLs keep their search rankings.

How is a migration set up?

Usually in fixed-price phases agreed after a scoping call; smaller pieces of Edge Delivery Services work are quoted per engagement.
